Classic conscious ragga-dancehall recorded by Karubel in 1996, when his artistic name was Sugar Dee. Memba Dat was a hit in Negril-Jamaica radio charts that year and became a landmark of Karubel music.

The instrumental was created, recorded and mixed by Cherry, with a rereading of a classic Studio One´s riddim bassline called Cuss Cuss, produced by Harry J in the end of 60s. In 1997, Karubel recorded Sitting On The Rock, a new version featuring Shaggy Williams and Mosiah (Jamaica).

The reissue by Dubdem Music + Power Records comes with all songs
remastered, including the instrumental version. The orignal tape of the
instrumental is lost and the track was remastered from a bad quality mp3. It was included in the EP to preserve the discography of Karubel.

Also, the EP comes with extra Memba Dat versions, but this time, Karubel singing over Bobby Bobylon riddim, another Studio One´s classic; and Taxi riddim, the anthological Sly & Robbie rub a dub . They are dubplates recorded for Dubdem Sound System in Jamaica, 2010. Includes also the acapella of the Bobby Bobylon riddim dubplate, for djs mix and new creations.
